Israel has laws resembling South Africa Apartheid

via Reddit

Israel

South Africa
Regulates the procedures for the establishment of political parties in Israel. Article 5(1) sets forth various [ideological] limitations on the registration rights of political parties similar to Section 7(A)(1) of The Basic Law: The Knesset, including the prohibition on registration of parties which, by their platforms, “deny the existence of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state”. http://www.adalah.org/eng/?mod=db&dld_page=law&slg=law-of-political-parties-amendment-no-12 The Act defined communism as any scheme that aimed "at bringing about any political, industrial, social, or economic change within the Union by the promotion of disturbance or disorder" or that encouraged "feelings of hostility between the European and the non-European races of the Union the consequences of which are calculated to further..." disorder. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suppression_of_Communism_Act,_1950
A further attempt to reduce the space allowed for protest by Palestinians citizens of Israel was mounted by the General Security Services (GSS), who continue to use intimidation tactics, including warning phone calls and threats of prosecution if activists do not halt their activities. This kind of state sanctioned harassment and intimidation of Palestinian political leaders and activists in Israel stands in stark contrast to the treatment afforded to Jewish Israeli protesters exercising their right to freedom of assembly. http://www.euromedrights.org/eng/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/FOA2013_EN_ISRAEL.pdf The Riotous Assemblies Act, Act No 17 of 1956 in South Africa (Commencement (16 March) made gatherings in open-air public places prohibited if the Minister of Justice considered that they could endanger the public peace. Banishment was also included as a form of punishment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riotous_Assemblies_Act,_1956
As a result, thousands of immigrants admitted to Israel under the Law of Return cannot marry in Israel, because the Israeli rabbinate does not recognize them as Jewish. http://www.myjewishlearning.com/israel/Contemporary_Life/Society_and_Religious_Issues/Freedom_of_Religion/civil_marriage_in_israel.shtml The Prohibition of Mixed Marriages Act, Act No 55 of 1949, was an apartheid law in South Africa that prohibited marriages between people of different races. It was among the first pieces of apartheid legislation to be passed following the National Party's rise to power in 1948. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prohibition_of_Mixed_Marriages_Act,_1949
The bill declares in Article 1 that its purpose is to “regulate land ownership in the Negev regarding ownership claims filed by the Negev Bedouin population” and also “to facilitate the development of the Negev for the benefit of all of its inhabitants, including making possible a solution for settling the Negev Bedouin population”. In practice, the draft bill outlines a framework to expedite procedures to enforce government policies regarding the Bedouin Arab population in the Negev on two parallel issues. The first issue is the evacuation of the unrecognized villages in the Negev, with the bill founded on the assumption that the residents of the unrecognized villages are squatters lacking any rights to the land, and therefore must be evicted. The second issue is the topic of land ownership in the Negev. The underlying premise of the bill is that there is no Bedouin land ownership at all in the Negev. Therefore, the arrangement it proposes is ex gratia. http://www.adalah.org/eng/?mod=db&dld_page=law&slg=regulation-of-bedouin-settlement-in-the-negev-bill The Prevention of Illegal Squatting Act, Act No 52 of 1951, formed part of the apartheid system of racial segregation in South Africa. This act authorized the forcible removal of squatting communities. It allowed eviction and destruction of homes of squatters by landowners, local authorities and government officials. It was commenced on 6 July 1951 http://en.wikipedia.or/wiki/Prevention_of_Illegal_Squatting_Act,_1951
One of a series of bills seek to raise the threshold percentage of votes required for political parties in order to obtain seats in the Israeli parliament. These bills will primarily affect the Arab political parties, some or all of which would be expected to fall below the new thresholds if introduced. The bills variously propose to raise the current threshold from the current 2% to between 3% and 5% in elections to future Knessets. The Palestinian political parties in Israel reflect the spectrum of political views held by Palestinian citizens of Israel, from Communist/Jewish-Arab (Hadash/al-Jabha), Islamist (Ra’am-Ta’al), to secular/Arab nationalist (Balad/Tajammoa’). Currently, Hadash/al-Jabha has 4 seats (3.3%), Ra’am-Ta’al has 4 Knesset seats (3.3%), and Balad/Tajammoa’ has 3 seats (2.5%). The bills therefore represent a direct threat to all the Arab political parties in the Knesset and to the political participation of Palestinian citizens in national affairs. http://www.adalah.org/eng/?mod=db&dld_page=law&slg=determination-of-the-qualifying-election-threshold-bill-to-amend-basic-law-the-knesset The Promotion of Bantu Self-government Act, 1959 (Act No. 46 of 1959, commenced 19 June; subsequently renamed the Promotion of Black Self-government Act, 1959 and later the Representation between the Republic of South Africa and Self-governing Territories Act, 1959) was a piece of South African apartheid legislation that allowed for the transformation of reserves into "fully fledged independent Bantustans" which would also divide Blacks into 'ethnically' discrete groups. It also resulted in the abolition of parliamentary representation for Blacks, an act furthered in 1970 with the passage of the Black Homeland Citizenship Act. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Promotion_of_Bantu_Self-government_Act,_1959
A number of measures illustrated the determination of the authorities to stamp out what they saw as a move towards unacceptable radicalisation. These included the vote in July 1980 to amend the anti-terrorist law, banning any expression of support for the PLO or any other hostile organization, together with the December 1980 prohibition of the Nazareth Congress of the Arab Masses, and the ban in April 1981 on the National Coordination Committee of Abna al-Balad. http://books.google.com/books?id=vzYVvgiUxq0C The Suppression of Communism Act 44 of 1950 (renamed in 1976 the Internal Security Act) was legislation of the national government in South Africa, passed on 26 June of that year (and coming into effect on 17 July),[1] which formally banned the Communist Party of South Africa and proscribed any party or group subscribing to the ideology of communism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suppression_of_Communism_Act,_1950

Forty colonial and racist dog-whistles were in the AIPAC speech that Hillary Clinton gave

It would be a serious mistake for the United States to abandon our responsibilities, or cede the mantle of leadership for global peace and security to anyone else.
  1. I believe in outright imperialism.

Iran’s continued aggression
  1. I will try to keep my focus on the foreign enemy.
a rising tide of extremism across a wide arc of instability
  1. I will justify violence on our side while condemning their ideology and organizations.
the growing effort to de-legitimize Israel on the world stage
  1. I will work tirelessly to prevent any diplomacy from harming your reputation (pt 1)
stronger than ever and more determined than ever to prevail against our common adversaries and to advance our shared values
  1. Because they don't have our values:
more intense security and diplomatic cooperation
  1. Arabs only understand violence but we know how to cooperate.

This is especially true at a time when Israel faces brutal terrorist stabbings, shootings and vehicle attacks at home.
  1. You can throw the Arabs out of their homes and I won't be upset.

And Palestinian leaders need to stop inciting violence, stop celebrating terrorists as martyrs and stop paying rewards to their families.
  1. Israel can and should continue to use collective punishment to dispossess innocent people.
Because we understand the threat Israel faces we know we can never take for granted the strength of our alliance or the success of our efforts. Our work together to develop the Iron Dome saved many Israeli lives when Hamas rockets began to fly.
  1. In fact, by not supporting Israel you would not have prevented the Holocaust, and that guilt can be a powerful weapon if we use it alongside actual military practices.
I saw its effectiveness firsthand in 2012 when I worked with Prime Minister Netanyahu to negotiate a cease fire in Gaza.
  1. Netanyahu still bombs Gaza routinely, but it will look less embarrassing under my command.
We will also be clear that the United States has an enduring interest in and commitment to a more peaceful, more stable, more secure Middle East. And we will step up our efforts to achieve that outcome.
  1. I will keep Saudi Arabia out of your hair by supporting coups in Iraq and Egypt, and wherever necessary.
I hope a new 10-year defense memorandum of understanding is concluded as soon as possible to meet Israel’s security needs far into the future
  1. I'll even give Israel more guns than Saudi Arabia if you promise to understand what I just told you.
And I will send a delegation from the Pentagon and the joint chiefs to Israel for early consultations. Let’s also expand our collaboration beyond security. Together, we can build an even more vibrant culture of innovation that tightens the links between Silicon Valley and Israeli tech companies and entrepreneurs.
  1. From that point, boilerplate marketing strategies should do the trick.
And it’s especially important to continue fostering relationships between American and Israeli young people who may not always remember our shared past. Many of the young people here today are on the front lines of the battle to oppose the alarming boycott, divestment and sanctions movement known as BDS.
  1. We have to indoctrinate children into to accepting violent ethnocentrism before it's too late and they're corrupted radicals.

Particularly at a time when anti-Semitism is on the rise across the world, especially in Europe, we must repudiate all efforts to malign, isolate and undermine Israel and the Jewish people.
  1. I promise to openly oppose young people organizing to stop ethnocentrism.
Keep speaking out. Don’t let anyone silence you, bully you or try to shut down debate, especially in places of learning like colleges and universities
  1. They are coming for us everywhere.
Well, my friends, Israel’s security is non-negotiable.
  1. You can't trust a namby pamby left-winger to give you a good deal, I'm sorry but you just can't.
I have sat in Israeli hospital rooms holding the hands of men and women whose bodies and lives were torn apart by terrorist bombs. I’ve listened to doctors describe the shrapnel left in a leg, an arm or even a head.
  1. I'm a professional opportunist as much as Al-Qaeda and I'm not above weaponizing grieving people.
That’s why I feel so strongly that America can’t ever be neutral when it comes to Israel’s security or survival. We can’t be neutral when rockets rain down on residential neighborhoods, when civilians are stabbed in the street, when suicide bombers target the innocent. Some things aren’t negotiable. And anyone who doesn’t understand that has no business being our president.
  1. Segregation is still a good solution.
Today Iran’s enriched uranium is all but gone, thousands of centrifuges have stopped spinning
  1. The foreigners are a menace to you and use science to achieve their ends.
But still, as I laid out at a speech at the Brookings Institution last year, it’s not good enough to trust and verify. Our approach must be distrust and verify.
  1. I want to hurt these miscreants as much as you do, so I don't always feel comfortable with diplomacy (pt 2)
In Lebanon, Hezbollah is amassing an arsenal of increasingly sophisticated rockets and artillery that well may be able to hit every city in Israel.
  1. I read the newspapers, I know who the bullies are.
Our next president has to be able to hold together our global coalition and impose real consequences for even the smallest violations of this agreement.
  1. US imperialism is the only thing protecting Israel and everyone knows it.
Those missiles were stamped with words declaring, and I quote, “Israel should be wiped from the pages of history.” We know they could reach Israel or hit the tens of thousands of American troops stationed in the Middle East. This is a serious danger and it demands a serious response.
  1. Like I said, I read the newspapers.
And we must work closely with Israel and other partners to cut off the flow of money and arms from Iran to Hezbollah. If the Arab League can designate all of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, surely it is time for our friends in Europe and the rest of the international community to do so as well and to do that now.
  1. Okay, while you kill these fuckers, I will use Talmudic logic and it will be an embarrassment for the history books.
But the Iranian people themselves deserve a better future, and they are trying to make their voices heard. They should know that America is not their enemy, they should know we will support their efforts to bring positive change to Iran.
  1. US terrorism in Iran serves a benevolent purpose of democracy.
Now, of course, Iran is not the only threat we and Israel face. The United States and Israel also have to stand together against the threat from ISIS and other radical jihadists. An ISIS affiliate in the Sinai is reportedly stepping up attempts to make inroads in Gaza and partner with Hamas. On Saturday, a number of Israelis and other foreigners were injured or killed in a bombing in Istanbul that may well be linked to ISIS. Two of the dead are U.S.-Israeli dual nationals.
  1. I once read that Sunni and Shiite were different.
This is a threat that knows no borders. That’s why I’ve laid out a plan to take the fight to ISIS from the air, on the ground with local forces and online where they recruit and inspire. Our goal cannot be to contain ISIS, we must defeat ISIS.
  1. But the only good nigger is a dead nigger.
And here is a third choice. Will we keep working toward a negotiated peace or lose forever the goal of two states for two peoples? Despite many setbacks, I remain convinced that peace with security is possible and that it is the only way to guarantee Israel’s long-term survival as a strong Jewish and democratic state.
  1. Peace comes from believing in me and cooperating with me and continuing to block a left-wing Israeli movement towards a bi-national state. (pt 3)
Israelis deserve a secure homeland for the Jewish people. Palestinians should be able to govern themselves in their own state, in peace and dignity. And only a negotiated two-state agreement can survive those outcomes.
  1. Okay let's get this over with: maybe we can help Palestinians a little bit, but not too much. (pt 4)
But Israelis and Palestinians cannot give up on the hope of peace. That will only make it harder later.
  1. The Netanyahu position is bad, but I can't bring myself to name him, I hope you catch what I'm saying here.
All of us need to look for opportunities to create the conditions for progress, including by taking positive actions that can rebuild trust — like the recent constructive meetings between the Israeli and Palestinian finance ministers aiming to help bolster the Palestinian economy, or the daily on-the-ground security cooperation between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
  1. The police want to protect the law-abiding.
But at the same time, all of us must condemn actions that set back the cause of peace. Terrorism should never be encouraged or celebrated, and children should not be taught to hate in schools. That poisons the future. Everyone has to do their part by avoiding damaging actions, including with respect to settlements.
  1. You're welcome to use violence, but please try to avoid getting a bad reputation.
I would continue the pursuit of direct negotiations. And let me be clear — I would vigorously oppose any attempt by outside parties to impose a solution, including by the U.N. Security Council.
  1. I will continue to unilaterally block international diplomacy because the deals never work with the hard-right in Israel, and I don't want to make them upset.
We are both nations built by immigrants and exiles seeking to live and worship in freedom, nations built on principles of equality, tolerance and pluralism.
  1. If we both deport people at the same time it will look really racist.
There’s so many examples. You know, we look at the pride parade in Tel Aviv, one of the biggest and most prominent in the world.
  1. But don't ever doubt that you're better than everyone, even the United States.
And, of course, some of us remember a woman, Golda Meir, leading Israel’s government decades ago and wonder what’s taking us so long here in America?
  1. I'm still friends with Henry Kissinger for Chrissake.
Now, we’ve had dark chapters in our history before. We remember the nearly 1,000 Jews aboard the St. Louis who were refused entry in 1939 and sent back to Europe. But America should be better than this.
  1. America caused the Holocaust and I think somewhere deep down I have genuine guilt over that.
As Elie Wiesel said when accepting the Nobel Peace Prize, “Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”
  1. Elie Wiesel reminds me a lot of Barry Goldwater.
We are stronger together, and if we face the future side by side, I know for both Israel and America, our best days are still ahead.
  1. Fascism is hard to sell but I'm going to do my best.

Why do kingdoms give out money?

The notion that kingdoms would not understand how political tribute funds works is on the face of it a joke. It was however openly confessed to by a Hillary Clinton surrogate. In a debate with investigative journalist David Sirota, Paul Glastris, a former (Bill) Clinton speechwriter, argued that "there’s no indication that Bahrain was—by putting money into the Clinton Foundation, it was influencing the Defense Department, that wanted to sell these weapons."

It's arguable whether they influenced the State Department (which, to no avail, is exactly the point Sirota was trying to make) but it's very likely the State Department itself along with the Foundation are understood as a way to make their reputations better.  In fact, Glastris himself tacitly admits that aid is not always for strict humanitarian purposes. He states, perhaps believably, "the reason the Clinton State Department and the entire Obama administration was willing to give a lot of arms to the Saudis and the Bahrainis was that they were tubing the Saudis and the Bahrainis by trying to open negotiations with Iran. Everybody knows this. It’s not—we don’t need to find of kind some nefarious payoff in order to understand the policy."

According to a study by the Red Cross "Saudi Arabia and neighbouring Gulf states use their humanitarian engagement to appease expatriate worker populations from disaster-prone countries such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, or the Philippines who often face miserable working conditions." They affirm that "as in any other area of foreign policy, interests such as national security or regional stability also influence the humanitarian behavior of traditional donors."

Ana Carolina Garriga published in the online left-wing journal Truth-out went even further and correlated human rights atrocities to what the Red Cross more benignly calls "multilateral funding."  Cashflow to humanitarian causes that are suspect are usually when investors are reacting "to countries' human rights violations because they worry about their own reputation. Mechanisms that potentially shield investors' reputation from doing business in countries that do not respect human rights will attract investment."

The fact that the State Department and the Clinton Foundation are being defended so fiercely demonstrates their role as helping these kingdoms through tribute. One of the most coveted prizes might not be the guns themselves but the valuable speeches the State Department can give in defense of Saudi allies in Iraq, Egypt etc. It's not enough to be a soup kitchen, there must also be a spokesperson.

Much shock and outrage must be due to the fact that these regimes did not live up to their natural end of  falling "into the sand" as Hillary desired, they are run by military generals that are ready to do business with the IMF, the latter with "no fixed schedule" to meet with democratic organizers. Indeed, one of the sticking points with the leading international investors was the ability to accrue interest on humanitarian loans as well as whether the work should be supervised locally or with an investor agenda. Putting aside their false humanitarian concerns, the demands of the IMF are simply "generating foreign investor confidence" which could not be met by Egyptian democracy.  Three weeks ago the IMF signed a package with the sitting coup government that even Lindsey Graham, one of if not the leading recipient of arms donations, criticized as a failed state.

Charities are sometimes shuttered and later found to be doing no wrong. But no bells of McCarthyism are being rung for Cure violence, a small but successful program preventing murder in Chicago. Nobody helped by the Somali charity Bush canceled were given this rancor. To portray themselves as innocent there is only one solution to the elite: to portray the accuser as stupid. Today's McCarthyism is in the form of journalists expressing jealousy, preferring to call people exaggerators than admit they were scooped, or worse, betrayed by a mafia-like caste system.

Despite many prompts, Gastris could not bring himself to admit that Saudis might be applying the same realpolitik that he so eagerly promotes at home. In fact, in extreme contrast to the policy that facilitated the Bahrain weapons, someone reading these leading researchers will undoubtedly conclude that the Obama admin/ Clinton state dept policy is a risky idea at best, and in fact puts more pressure on international relations to appease each other only after atrocities are being committed. Binder and Meir note that "national Red Cross and Red Crescent organizations become increasingly active when disasters strike in neighbouring countries." Again, this model was openly confessed to by a Clinton surrogate.

If you care for the poor, don't harass a journalist with "But I love you baby" tactics. Demand citizen control of our military and police, a viscous, corpse-stomping terror squad inflicting unspoken misery on the poorest people in the country and whoever gets on a sheik's dirty list.

David Sirota is a watchdog that consistently applies the same method to Democrats and Republicans, openly giving people information to influence policy -- exactly what the press is supposed to do.

Irregularities should disqualify Clinton from being nominated

How to defame your liberal grandpa

At the opening of the Democratic primary campaign, a single political story was very influential on defaming Bernie Sanders. It beautifully walked the line of libel in that it quoted Bernie directly saying he ran for the media coverage. This upset more than a few Democratic voters who instantly made the connection of an abusive lover. It ultimately inspired a meme with a pig-nosed Bernie deciding to do "anything before he helps Hillary out" as well as one comparing both him and Ralph Nader to leeches. They were instantly regretted by their formulators when the anti-Semitism was pointed out. Fortunately, the responsible parties for the ideological slander are being found out.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CnqsvxtWEAA9Ynk.jpg
I believe in journalistic integrity so I'd like to point out much of the Bernie defamation was done without the DNC's overt support. Mother Jones discovered an essay on feminism Bernie wrote in the 1970's. A simple debunk on NPR that would have been enough shake the more forgiving primary voter was rarely cited. But a pro-Bush PAC writer wasted no time connecting the essay to a 2000 vote on due process for HIV testing of rapists and was apparently picked up by her supporters and memorized and weaponized to seriously defame Clinton's opponent as a rape-enabler (see notes below).

I would like to indulge myself in weird philosophies underling this Bernaysian/McCarthyist history and exactly why weaponizing race, gender and sex into economic ideology is awful for the sexual and economic health of the most vulnerable in the country but more evidence has come to light that simply blows out of the water any distance the DNC could have from an attempt to steal the election.

I know someone who likes you

The use of intelligence groups to influence popular opinion is a long-running joke in American intelligence. Henry Kissinger liked to quip "that wasn't you?"when he saw an especially appalling  example.

According to Wikileaks (hat tip to @JustDigginBlues), a regime-change security expert with friends in a voting voting machines company (Oracle) said he would help the DNC in "any way he can" including media rigging. This friend who is "very hard working and smart" and "willing to relocate anywhere, and is immediately available" would "jump into the election" and "be great for your team/s." According to his resume, he was already working at Hillary For America, and has "[p]laced 100+ stories and op-eds in outlets including: NYT, WSJ, LA Times, Bloomberg, Reuters, Mashable, and Fortune" and for the campaigns of "California delegation to COP21 with Gov. Jerry Brown, Tom Teyer, SolarCity, and PG&E."

The job can't be a media expert, he's already pushing the limit on influencing the media as a member of Hillary For America. What is the resume for? Paul Hamill, the man who sent the email detailing his friend's skills, himself worked as "strategic communications advisor to the Minister of Information in Kabul, where he developed full strategic communications processes and plans for the Minister as well as drafted narratives and speeches for the Government of Afghanistan" which often resorts to "widespread fraud." It's very possible, and a reasonable thing to conclude that the election was rigged through a combination of media manipulation and e-voting ballot stuffing.

The primary election process of Hillary Clinton was marred with personal libel facilitated by a supposedly neutral media and neutral election machines which cannot be verified as neutral. To prevent the endorsement of a fraudulent election, the previous nomination process should be subject to heavy scrutiny before any other votes are sanctioned.

Paul Hamill, Logan International, Luis Miranda, and the Democratic National Committee should be investigated for international espionage and aggression.

According to watchdog group Sourcewatch, Politico is published by the heir of a coup-interested banking fortune:

Politico's "publisher, Robert L. Allbritton, 37, scion of the banking and media family that once owned the defunct Washington Star, said in an interview that he would finance The Politico for 'the foreseeable future' and has committed to paying for expensive campaign travel. He has hired a staff of about 50 people, almost half of them journalists," Kara Rowland reported January 22, 2007, in The Washington Times.
"Newspapers have to be all things to all people,' Mr. Allbritton said. 'On the Internet, there is no one site that delivers everything. It’s broken down into mini-mini-subdivisions of interests and they attract people who are passionately interested in one subject.' ...
Allbritton "is best known for following his father, Joe L. Allbritton, as chief executive of the Riggs Bank, which was sold in 2004 after a Senate investigation found that Gen. Augusto Pinochet, the late Chilean dictator, had kept millions of dollars in secret accounts at Riggs.

Bernie’s handlers and apologists say it’s just a political smear, that Bernie voted to protect military women from rape. Let’s hope the rapist doesn’t have HIV. In Bernie Sanders, Misogynistic Bigot :
“The reality is that Sanders did go on to vote against legislation that required rapists to divulge their HIV status to their victims.  H.R. 3088, CQ Vote #505 may seem like an innocuous enough vote, but Bernie Sanders stood with the civil liberties of rapists, specifically with their right against involuntary HIV testing.  Those same accused rapists could be forced to surrender their DNA, and many states had already passed laws to require involuntary HIV testing of rapists due to the Comprehensive Crime Control Act of 1990, which spurred states to act by linking federal funding with legislation requiring HIV testing for rapists.  Then Representative Bernie Sanders was one of just 19 congressmen who voted against the legislation.” Jay Darcy, Director, Research and Messaging at Western Representation PAC

dependent activator or regulator (CDA or CDR) or
phosphodiesterase activating factor (PAF), which
binds 4 Ca 2+ mol/mol. This protein, named
calmodulin (CaM), was shown to activate cyclic
nucleotide phosphodiesterase in a calcium-dependent
manner. This discovery allowed characterizing the
first eluted fraction of PDE activity (Peak 1 or PDE I)
